Mindful Outdoor Experience

  • Marian Yarrow Preserve directly across from 508 Mt. Holly Road Katonah, NY 10536 United States (map)

Are you eager to forge a deeper connection with  nature? Or looking to find balance between screen time and green time in an age of unprecedented technology use? Lewisboro Land Trust is excited to partner with certified Mindful Outdoor Experience guide Tertius Bune to bring a new kind of program to our preserves that will help you combine mindfulness and nature and strengthen your wilderness connection, leaving you in tune with nature, yourself, and the community. In this introductory session, Tertius will guide the group through a nine-step process designed by the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Learning to optimize exploring and connecting with our senses. This is a great opportunity to disconnect from stress and reconnect with all that nature has to offer.

This program is free, recommended for ages 14 and up, and dogs will not be permitted. Space is limited to 20 individuals, so advance registration is required at the link below. Please remember to cancel or inform us if you’re unable to make it in case the event has a waiting list.

This hike is rated moderate due to uneven terrain and will be about 1-2 miles. We recommend wearing sturdy shoes, appropriate layers, a hat, and bug spray. We also recommend packing water, a light snack of preference, and a towel or mat to sit on (optional). Steady rain or other inclement weather will reschedule, in which case an email will be sent to registered participants.

The entrance to LLT’s Marian Yarrow Preserve is located directly across from 508 Mt. Holly Road, Katonah.
