September Hike for Health with Naturalist Jeff Main

at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation/Pell Hill

Join naturalist Jeff Main for a guided 4-mile hike into the southern part of the park in search of early signs of foliage change. Jeff's hikes are a wonderful opportunity to learn about the environment around us while getting in a long hike for health. Come just for the morning, or pack a lunch to enjoy a picnic at one of the many areas in the park. This hike is rated moderate due to uneven terrain and length. Please wear sturdy shoes and pack water and snacks. Friendly dogs on leash are welcome.

Registration is not required. If you have any questions, please call the park office at 914-864-7317. Steady rain and other inclement weather will reschedule or cancel. Any location change or updates will be posted on the whiteboard at the entry gate. Entry fee will be waived for this event upon mention that you learned about it from Lewisboro Land Trust. However, we do encourage you to support the park by paying the fee or becoming a member at Trailside Nature Museum because certain levels receive free vehicle entrance to the Reservation throughout the year, and the funds directly benefit the park.

Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is located at Reservation Rd., Pound Ridge, NY 10576. The entrance is off of Route 121/Old Post Rd., just south of Route 35. After passing the gatehouse, keep driving straight to the stop sign at the Trailside Nature Museum, turn right and go to the top of Pell Hill where there is a large parking lot. PLEASE ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO GET INTO THE PARK!
