Onatru Farm Park & Preserve are owned by the Town of Lewisboro. Alice Lane Poor, a longtime contributor to church, town, and civic affairs, donated it to the town for open space and recreation. Her intention was to preserve the rural farming atmosphere of Lewisboro by the preservation of the house, buildings, and fields, as well as the trails for observing wildlife. Recreational facilites include fields for baseball, soccer and lacrosse, tennis courts and play areas. The farmhouse is the site of the annual Lewisboro Library Fair and is the home of the Town’s Parks & Recreation Department. There are two trails: the one at the park begins at the end of a farm road behind the farmhouse; the one across the road at the preserve offers a nature trail constructed by an Eagle Scout.
